Where you stand, the three things worth doing about it, then what moved and what your published work earned.

What changed. Was: a Dashboard whose "to-do today" repeated the first three cards of Actions verbatim, plus a separate Action Center doing a third version of the same job. Now Today is the only screen that answers "what happened since I last looked," and it is the only place the three surfaces overlap by design.

What changed. Was: "46/100 Visibility score" with no definition, sitting beside "0 of 6 places buyers search where you appear," which contradicted it. One number, defined in the sentence next to it, with the denominator visible. A score you cannot recompute by hand is a score merchants will not believe.

What changed. Was: nine channels listed (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI, Grok, YouTube, Reddit, TikTok), five of them labeled "Estimated," which the app itself defined as "simulation." Four engines, matching the brand and the site. Two are real on October 1. The other two say "October" and show nothing. Simulated data never renders as a result.

Take back the Whiteline sway bar comparison

You lost this slot on August 24. Their page compares diameters. You have spring rates, bar rates, and 41 customer reviews mentioning body roll, and none of it is on a page an engine can read.

Question “FactionFab vs Whiteline sway bars”

Lost the slot Aug 24 Uses your spring rate data
What changed. Was: 47 unranked cards, several literal duplicates (two "What material are quilted jackets made from?", two identical comparison pages), each with the same boilerplate reason: "Competitors currently lead the answers for this question." Three items, each with a reason specific to this store, each naming the question it fights for, and marked when it draws on data only this merchant has. The other 34 are still in the queue and are not pretending to be urgent.

Assets typically take 3 to 6 weeks to appear in answers. A row with nothing in it yet is normal, not a failure.
Why this is new. There is nowhere in the current app to see what a published asset did. "Recently published (9)" is a collapsed line at the bottom of a 47-item list. This table is the proof Darren keeps asking for, and it is the reason a merchant renews in month three.

Answers

The 25 questions buyers ask about your category, what the engines say back, and why you are or are not in the answer.

What changed. Was: Research, a list of 30 checkbox rows with a "Ran today" stamp and a results table that mixed Live and Estimated rows. Same data, but the unit is now the answer, not the query. Every row can be opened to read the engine's actual words and the pages it cited. That is the evidence the Write queue rests on.

1 your position in the answer Absent checked, not named Showing all 25. All four engines are asked live, every 6 hours.
What the four states mean, and why they are states and not tags. Was: chips reading "You win 3 / Close 5 / Absent 17", where "close" had no definition anyone could check. Every question is in exactly one state, and the four add to 25. Won, at least one engine names you. Open, no engine names you and no competitor holds it either, which makes these the cheapest wins on the board. Lost, you were named within the last 30 days and are not now, which is the only state with a clock on it. Absent, a competitor holds it and you have never been named. Intent is a separate axis because it answers a different question, so it is a dropdown rather than another row of chips competing for the same attention. The default order is the order of urgency, not alphabet or demand: open slots first because they are the cheapest to take, then what you just lost because that is the only state with a clock on it, then what you hold, then the long tail by demand.

Do FactionFab coilovers fit a 2024 WRX

ChatGPT · checked 2 hours ago

What ChatGPT said
FactionFab does list coilovers for the Subaru WRX, but I would confirm fitment directly with the seller before ordering. The 2024 WRX uses the VB chassis, which changed the front strut mounting compared with the previous VA generation, and not every listing makes clear which chassis it covers. Retailers such as Subimods and RalliTEK publish fitment charts you can check.
Pages it cited
1 Subaru WRX suspension fitment guide subimods.com
2 VA to VB chassis differences explained rallitek.com
3 2024 WRX coilover thread reddit.com/r/WRX
Why you are not in it

All three cited pages state chassis codes and mounting differences in plain text. Your coilover pages list part numbers and a "2015+ WRX" range, which does not answer the question a 2024 owner is asking.

What you have that they do not
  • MFitment metafields1,240 SKUs mapped to chassis codes
  • OOrder history318 coilover orders since the VB launch
  • RReviews41 mention fitment on a 2024 car
This panel is the whole argument. The current app tells a merchant they are absent and then hands them a generic blog post. This says what the engine actually said, which pages beat them, exactly what is missing, and which of their own non-crawlable data closes the gap. It is also the thing a competitor scraping public answers cannot replicate.

Queue

Seventeen items, ranked by what they are worth, grouped by where they live on your store.

What changed. Was: Actions and Action Center, 47 unranked cards with duplicates, filtered by content type only. One surface. Grouped by the three places content lives (product pages, category pages, blog and FAQ), which is how Darren describes the work and how a merchant thinks about their store. Ranked, deduped, and each one naming the buyer question it is meant to win.

What changed. Was: a credit meter against a 400 a month entitlement. Credits are out until usage-based pricing exists, since launch is one flat price and a meter would price something that is not for sale. The bar that replaced it answers the question a merchant actually has at the top of this screen: am I keeping up, and is any of it working.
Merged

Eleven near-duplicate suggestions became four. Three separate items all wanted a coilover buyer's guide, and two proposed the same sway bar comparison. One page can only win a question once, so Selix now merges them before you see them.

What changed. Was: the live queue contains two identical "What material are quilted jackets made from?" cards and two identical "quilted blankets, jackets, and hobo bags" comparison pages, presented as separate work. Deduplication happens before the merchant sees the list, and the app says it happened rather than hiding it.

Below the line Selix recommends acting on this month.

The line matters. Everything scoring under 40 sits below a visible cutoff instead of padding the count. A queue is only useful if the app is willing to say which parts of it are not worth doing.

Revenue

What the answers you won were worth. Nothing on this screen is modeled or estimated.

What changed. Was: Insights, which drew a sessions chart labeled "Mock data shown," claimed a "strong relationship (r = 0.64)" against a visibility column reading 0% every day, and printed a weekly digest about ADAS calibration on a quilt store. If the pixel is not reporting, this screen shows setup instructions and no chart at all. A fabricated correlation is worse than an empty state, because a merchant who catches it once stops believing the rest of the product.
!

We cannot show attributed revenue yet

The Selix pixel is not reporting from your checkout. Until it does, there is no honest way to tell you which orders came from an AI answer, so this screen stays empty rather than guessing.

Connection

Selix is not a Shopify app, so setup is a real 20 minutes. Here is exactly where you are in it.

What changed. Was: a Settings page offering "Log into Shopify to sync" and a field for an shpat_ Admin API token. Shopify stopped allowing admin-created custom apps on January 1, 2026, so that paste flow no longer exists. The real path is the merchant creating an app in Shopify's Dev Dashboard and handing over a Client ID and Client Secret. It is the top risk in the October 1 plan, so it gets a screen, not a form field.

Why health is a permanent panel. Shopify sends no uninstall webhook under this model, and access tokens expire every 24 hours. Nothing tells Selix when a merchant revokes access or a scope drifts, so the app has to watch its own connection and say so in plain language.

Why this is a screen and not a wizard you exit. Onboarding takes 15 to 30 minutes across two Shopify admin areas, and it is the thing most likely to decide whether there are 10 paying customers by November 30. Merchants abandon partway through. A permanent, resumable checklist that says how many minutes are left, with a "do it with us" escape hatch on the hardest stage, is worth more than any polish elsewhere in the app.

Why this is not one click

Selix is not listed on the Shopify App Store. That means no app review, no revenue share on your subscription, and no third party sitting between us and your data. It also means these twenty minutes. We think it is the right trade, and we will do it with you on a call if you would rather not do it alone.

Voice & catalog

What Selix is allowed to say on your behalf, and which parts of your catalog it draws on.

Why this screen is new. Nothing in the current app lets a merchant control the voice of content published under their own brand, which is the single biggest reason a merchant would stop trusting the product after their first draft. This is also where the generic-copy problem gets fixed at the root rather than per draft.

The decision that reorders everything. Was: create an account, then connect a store, then wait to find out whether any of it was worth it. And the site’s "Connect your store" button dropped people into the sign-in path by mistake. Analyze first, sign up after. This is also the free check on the marketing site, so it is one flow rather than two, and it feeds the AI Shopping Index.

Reading factionfab.com

About ninety seconds. Close the tab if you like, we will email you the result either way.

This screen is also the capture step. Brand description, who you serve, tone of voice and competitor set are all being derived here, in the background. Nothing on the next screens asks the merchant for something Selix could have read for itself. Andrew’s rule from the Aug 29 call: capture the fields, do not expose them. The three groups are honest divisions of the work, which is why each one names what it found rather than spinning in place, and why the progress bar moves on real steps rather than on a timer pretending to be one.

The panel on the right is drawn in the browser, not a stock photo: satellite terrain generated from noise, in the v4 palette, with a purple sweep that runs only while the scan is running. It is the brand line made literal, and it means the one moment a merchant has to wait is the moment the product looks most like itself.

What ChatGPT says when someone asks about fitment

Checked 2 minutes ago. Claude hedges the same way. Perplexity and Gemini do not name you at all.

FactionFab does list coilovers for the Subaru WRX, but I would confirm fitment directly with the seller before ordering. The 2024 WRX uses the VB chassis, which changed the front strut mounting compared with the previous VA generation. Retailers such as Subimods and RalliTEK publish fitment charts you can check.

Why you are not in it

All three cited pages state chassis codes in plain text. Your coilover pages list part numbers and a "2015+ WRX" range, which does not answer what a 2024 owner is asking.

Everything, before the account. Jenn’s call on Aug 29. The account is for keeping this and watching it change, not for seeing it. A gate here would trade the one moment that proves the product for an email address, and the merchant who signs up to see a number they have not seen is the merchant who churns in month two. The next three screens are still pre-account: they tune what gets monitored.

We picked up eleven other things about your store, including your tone of voice. You can edit those inside Selix once you are in.

Three fields, and they are already filled. Was: a positioning step asking for name, URL, description, niche, and audience on a blank form, plus a separate brand voice page. The niche field is cut, the URL field is cut because it was typed one screen ago, and the brand voice page is cut entirely. What is left is a correction task, not a form. Jenn’s reason on the call: "I don’t want people to be like, now I got to fill this out."

These six brands keep turning up in your answers.

A URL is the whole input. Jenn on the call: "I don’t think you even add the name, I’d say you just drop in the URL and it captures that." Asking for a company name as well is a second field that produces nothing Selix cannot read from the site itself.

These are the questions we will watch.

Twenty five, not two hundred. Jenn liked BeVisible’s add and remove pattern here and said the volume was the problem: "we don’t need to give this many." A list a person can actually read in one sitting is a list they will edit. A list of two hundred is one they will skip, and a skipped list is a monitoring set nobody owns.

Keep this, and watch it change.

Google first, on purpose. Most Shopify merchants are already signed in to a Google account on the browser they are standing in, so it is one click and no tab switch. A magic link is two clicks and a trip to an inbox, which is where a signup goes to die. The email path stays because plenty of stores run on their own domain mail, and because it keeps the promise on the line below: no password to make or forget.

Selix works without connecting a store. Connecting one lets us publish for you and tell you what the answers earned.

Shopify is explicitly not now. Andrew on the call: “we’re not going to be connected to a store initially, because they don’t have to sync it.” That has a consequence beyond this screen. The twenty minute Dev Dashboard setup stops being a gate and becomes a mid-product upgrade, offered once the merchant has seen something worth connecting for. Which is also why the Sources panel in the editor splits store data from open-web data: it is what earns the connection later.
